A participatory civil society organization from Jordan, committed to empowering communities through genuine dialogue, non-formal education, and inclusive development.
Shoura BNC was founded on the belief that lasting change comes from within communities. We are a Jordanian civil society organization that depends on participatory approaches, consultation, and building partnerships to define societal priorities together with the affected communities.
Our name, "Shoura," means consultation and collective decision-making — and that's exactly how we work. We seek consensus on development issues, putting community voices at the center of everything we do.
Engaging communities to define their own priorities through consultation and consensus-building.
Mainstreaming gender equality as a cross-cutting issue across all our development efforts.
All initiatives grounded in the Jordanian context for relevant, community-owned solutions.
Bridging civil society, government, and international actors toward shared goals.

A future where national and international organizations collaborate effectively to implement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a special focus on Gender Equality, Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions — and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
To foster inclusive dialogue and participatory approaches among national and international stakeholders. We mainstream gender as a cross-cutting issue, ensuring it is embedded in all our development efforts. All our initiatives are grounded in the local Jordanian context.
We engage communities in defining their own priorities — never imposing external agendas.
Bridging civil society, government, and international actors toward shared goals.
Promoting gender equality in all our projects as a non-negotiable cross-cutting value.
Tailoring global solutions to Jordan's unique social and cultural context for lasting impact.
